The dirtiest, dustiest, most humid day EVER, is briefly cheered by a mid-afternoon Paramore show...
Definitely the worst day of a super fun Warped Tour 2007!! We woke up in the morning to find our bus still not on site and queueing to get into the park because everyone was getting stuck and bogged down in the sand/mud/shit. Our friends in The Dear & Departed had to even call out a tow truck to get them out it was that bad... It carried on from there really everyone spending all day covered in dirt and shit and dirt. Really not the best way to spend such a long hot day, although if you could ignore that for a moment it was a pretty beautiful setting. The Automatic's tourbus that was my home for the summer (much like the rest of my life! hahah) was parked right on the ocean (or maybe lake?!) front. Like, literally right there next to the water. So as long as you stayed backstage you were fine! That's no fun at all though so I got covered in shit and then just took a shower outside on the waterfront in my pants after the show :)
The upside of the day though, was Paramore hitting the stage in the mid-afternoon... right between Funeral For A Friend and Killswitch. Worst places to be, right?! haha. So I shot some of the Paramore show before getting back to the dirt. The Automatic played last that night and it was such a killer day that most people had packed up by then, but the guys still put on a great a show as ever! The shower I had that night was definitely the best of the tour, too!
